About the musicians
Valerie and Daniel perform traditional music on fiddle, concertina, and vocals. Valerie is a fiddler and singer who plays in a number of Bay Area Irish bands, including The Gallowglasses and Western Shore. Daniel is one of the leading concertina players in the Bay Area. Valerie and Daniel have been playing together for over eight years. They have performed together at the Fairfax Irish Festival, the San Francisco Free Folk Festival, the Feldman’s Books music series, the Virtual Plough, the Palo Alto Art and Wine Festival and other venues.
The concert will be at a private house in the Claremont area of Berkeley. Tickets are $15-20 sliding scale, with advance purchase strongly preferred.
