About Valerie Rose

Valerie is an accomplished Irish fiddler, singer, and vocal arranger. Audiences enjoy her winning stage presence and ability to accompany herself on fiddle as she sings. She performs with the Irish bands Western Shore and Pigs in the Riggings, and is the newest member of Wake the Dead, the World’s Only Celtic Grateful Dead Jam Band.

Valerie teaches at various music camps including California Coast Music Camp, Walker Creek Music Camp, and the San Francisco Irish Cultural Center’s Youth Irish Camp. She conducts Palo Alto’s M’Earthtones choir, and leads the Rose Tree Youth Ceili Band and monthly Irish sessions at Redwood City’s Alhambra Irish House.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Valerie Rose Irish Band. Their beautiful music was enjoyed by all, including those in Ireland who live-streamed the event.

We enthusiastically recommend this Celtic band for any occasion. Their beautiful Irish music was perfect for our St. Patrick’s event. They are not only wonderfully musical but also professional in every way and easy to work with. Presenting this band was time and money well spent.
